Jane Monheit Signs To Concord

Vocalist Jane Monheit has signed a recording deal with Concord. The label will release her next disc, which Jorge Calandrelli is producing, in March 2007.

“Jane’s voice is extraordinary,” said Concord Music Group general manager Gene Rumsey. “We are overjoyed to have her here at Concord where we remain committed to great talent in this genre of music.”

    Hammond came to the blues through the folk boom of the late 1950s and early 1960s, which he experienced firsthand in New York’s Greenwich Village.
