Joao Donato To Tour United States

  I

Bossa nova singer and keyboardist Joao Donato will embark on a brief U.S. tour in early April. This rare visit comes following his recent return to the studio to record and release Dois Panos Para Manga (Biscoito Fino) last year. Donato will perform at Cleveland’s Nightown on April 4 at 7:00 and 9:00, Chicago’s Hot House on April 5 at 7:00 and 9:00, and Joe’s Pub in New York on April 6.

“Cerebral and academic thought is a different way to approach music,” Flea says of his continuing dive into jazz. “I’ve always relied on emotion and intuition and physicality.”
