The ensemble’s repertoire will represent each region’s connection and heritage to jazz, i.e., a Louis Armstrong tune to represent New Orleans, a Billy Strayhorn song to represent Pittsburgh, etc. Jazz Across The Americas will premiere in Pittsburgh April 15-18, 2004, and will then appear in Cleveland for one day on the Jazz On The Circle Series. The collaboration will be programmed at partner sites throughout 2004.
MCG Jazz is a program of Manchester Craftsmen’s Guild. The Manchester Craftsmen’s Guild Music Hall is located at 1815 Metropolitan Street, North Shore. Artists are subject to change. Single tickets will go on sale Sept. 2, 2003. For ticket information call 412-322-0800.
