UCLA To Celebrate Kenny Burrell’s 75th Birthday

UCLA Live will celebrate Kenny Burrell’s 75th birthday with a concert at the campus’ Royce Hall on Dec. 2. The guitarist has been on the faculty of the university since 1978.

Along with Burrell’s trio, other performers at the tribute will include the Gerald Wilson Orchestra and the jazz Heritage All Stars, with guest artists Pat Metheny, Lalo Schifrin, Barbara Morrison and Hubert Laws.
