Singer Cassandra Wilson has announced the dates for her upcoming tour in conjunction with her recent release, Thunderbird (Blue Note).
Wilson will perform at World Cafe Live in Philadelphia on Sept. 19, New York’s Town Hall on Sept. 20, Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank, N.J., on Sept. 21 and Birchmere in Alexandria, Va., on Sept. 24.
Peplowski first came to prominence in legacy swing bands, including the final iteration of the Benny Goodman Orchestra, before beginning a solo career in the late 1980s.
