Chicago’s Symphony Center Announces 2009-‘10 Jazz Season

Chicago’s Symphony Center has released the lineup for its 2009-‘10 jazz program.

The season will begin with Dianne Reeves and her Strings Attached trio on Oct. 16, 2009. Other fall highlights include Dave Holland with Jason Moran, Chris Potter and Eric Harland on Oct. 30 and George Wein with his Newport All-Stars on Nov. 13.

In 2010, Sonny Rollins will appear at Symphony Center on April 9 and Joshua Redman will headline a double bill with the Anat Cohen Quartet on April 23. The series will conclude with Danilo Perez’s big band tribute to Dizzy Gillespie, “Things To Come: 21st Century Dizzy,” on May 21.
