Eddie Jefferson To Be Celebrated at Jazz at Lincoln Center

Singer Eddie Jefferson, who is credited with creating the vocalese technique, will be the focus of a tribute concert at New York’s Jazz at Lincoln Center on Nov. 9 and 10.

Pianist Eric Reed will lead the tribute with his trio of bassist Gerald Cannon and drummer Willie Jones III. Vocalists Carla Cook and Allan Harris will also join the group for the tribute.
