Festival Of New Trumpet Music To Blare In New York

Now in its fourth year, the Festival Of New Trumpet Music will announce the current state of the instrument. The series—which Dave Douglas, Roy Campbell, and Jon Nelson are curating—will be held at New York’s Jazz Standard from Sept. 19–24.

Performers include Avishai Cohen on Sept. 19, Taylor Ho Bynum and Stephen Haynes on Sept. 20, Ingrid Jensen and Lina Allemano on Sept. 21, Marcus Belgrave on Sept. 22, Steven Bernstein’s Millennial Territory Orchestra on Sept. 23 and Dave Douglas and Graham Haynes on Sept. 24.
