Franz Jackson Celebrates 95 Years

Saxophonist Franz Jackson will celebrate his 95th birthday with a bash ath the Dowagiac Middle School Performing Arts Center in Dowagiac, Mich., on Nov. 4.

Along with Jackson, other musicians who will perform at the event include saxophonist Eric Schneider, clarinetist Tad Calcara and trumpeter Art Hoyle. The concert will also serve as a fundraiser for the Jazz Institute of Chicago, Dowagiac High School Jazz Band, Dogwood Fine Arts Festival and Encore Dance Company.
