Freddie Redd To Restage The Connection

Pianist Freddie Redd will perform the music he composed and recorded for the 1960 play, The Connection , at New York’s Merkin Concert Hall on Feb. 19.

At the Merkin concert, alto saxophonist Lou Donaldson will recreate the late Jackie McLean’s musical role. Bassist Micke Bass and drummer Ben Riley will complete the quartet.
