Gerald Wilson Salutes Monterey With Suite, Album

Composer/bandleader Gerald Wilson has composed “Monterey Moods,” a suite commissioned for the 50th anniversary of the Monterey Jazz Festival. He will premiere the composition with the Gerald Wilson Orchestra on Sept. 22 at the festival, releasing an album of the same title Sept. 25 on Mack Avenue Records.
