Highlights In Jazz Dates Announced

“Highlights In Jazz,” a long-running series of themed concerts presented at the Tribeca Performing Arts Center in New York by Jack Kleinsinger, has announced its 2007-‘08 season.

“Trio Time” will lead off the concert series Oct. 11, featuring trios Manhattan Trinity and 3 Guitars. The former consists of pianist Cyrus Chestnut, bassist George Mraz and drummer Lewis Nash, and the latter will feature guitarists Bucky Pizzarelli, Frank Vignola and James Chirillo.

Other themes include “Keepers of the Flame,” “Early Jazz” and “Remembering Ray Barretto.”

The Tribeca Performing Arts Center is located at Borough of Manhattan Community College. Tickets are $30 for general admission, $27.50 for students and $110 for all four concerts. For more information, call the Tribeca Box Office at (212) 220-1460 or visit tribecapac.org/music.htm.
