Hyman to Hold Stride Summit in New York

Artistic Director Dick Hyman will be joined by a roster of pianists for the International Stride Summit starting the 2008 season of Jazz Piano At The Y. The summit will take place at 92nd Street Y in New York Jan. 5, 2008, and includes pianists Chris Hopkins and Bernd Lhotzky from Germany, Louis Mazetier from France and Rossano Sportiello from Italy.

Hyman founded the Y’s annual Jazz In July festival and ran it for 20 years until 2005, when Bill Charlap took over as artistic director. Hyman’s winter/spring series has been running since 1984.
