Trumpeter Roy Hargrove will team his 19-piece Big Band with hip-hop innovator Q-Tip Nov. 30 at the Harlem Stage Gatehouse in New York. Presented by Harlem Stage and The Jazz Gallery, the show will fuse Hargrove’s mix of Latin music and swinging compositions with Q-Tip’s percussion-like syncopation.

Peplowski first came to prominence in legacy swing bands, including the final iteration of the Benny Goodman Orchestra, before beginning a solo career in the late 1980s.
