JazzAscona Lineup Announced

  I

JazzAscona New Orleans and Classics, which will be held June 21–July 1 in Ascona, Switzerland, has announced its 2007 lineup.

Set along the banks of Lake Maggiore, festivalgoers will be able to see Judy Carmichael, Byron Stripling, Terell Stafford, Alvin Queen, Davell Crawford, bluesman Al Copley, Dado Moroni, Rossano Sportiello, Guillaume Nouaux and Don Vappie, among others.

The festival boasts 200 concerts and more than 400 hours of live music over this year’s 11-day span, where jazz from the United States and Europe will come together to form a unique atmosphere — a European “Big Easy” of sorts.
