KOCH Records To Release New Jean-Luc Ponty CD

KOCH Records will release the new album from violinist Jean-Luc Ponty, The Acatama Experience, on May 22.

The album is Ponty’s first studio effort in several years, blending elements of electronic funk, jazz-rock, Latin percussion, impressionistic soundscapes and lyrical ballads.

Ponty’s career spans five decades, and he has appeared on more than 70 recordings, including works by Frank Zappa and the Mahavishnu Orchestra.
