New Andy Bey Recording Released

Andy Bey’s upcoming disc, It Ain’t Necessarily So (12th Street), is a live recording taken from the singer’s Birdland concert in 1997. Kenny and Peter Washington accompanied him on the performance. The disc will be released on Oct. 30.

Bey will perform songs from the disc this fall in concerts at New York’s Joe’s Pub on Oct. 25, Kennedy Center Jazz Club in Washington, D.C., on Nov. 10 and Montgomery College in Philadelphia on Nov. 30.
