Palmetto Records will release Air Jan. 8, 2008, a solo piano album by Frank Kimbrough. Recorded at Maggie’s Farm, the album features Kimbrough originals as well as compositions by Paul Motian, Dewey Redman and Thelonious Monk. It will be a digital release from the label.

“In some respects, playing solo sheds light on one’s history and roots in a way that is clearer than what the listener may hear in an ensemble setting,” said Kimbrough.
