Pete Zimmer Tour Features Jeremy Pelt

The Pete Zimmer Group, which features Jeremy Pelt, is touring the Midwest this week.

The outfit features Zimmer on drums, Pelt on trumpet, Avi Rothbard on guitar and David Wong on bass. Pelt won a Rising Star Trumpet award in this year’s DownBeat Critics Poll.

Tour dates are as follows:

Friday, Sept. 7—Pete Zimmer drum clinic, Mom’s Music, Louisville, Ky.

Friday, Sept. 7, 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.—The Jazz Factory, Louisville, Ky.

Saturday, Sept. 8, 9:30 p.m.—The Jazz Estate, Milwaukee, Wis.

Tuesday, Sept. 11—Clinic, Indiana University, Bloomington, Ind.

Thursday, Sept. 13, 7:30 p.m.—Botanica, Wichita, Kan.
