Plans Announced For Wayne Shorter’s 75th Birthday Celebration

Wayne Shorter will celebrate his 75th birthday with a performance on Dec. 2 at Carnegie Hall in New York.

The Wayne Shorter 75th Birthday Celebration concert will feature Shorter performing a repertoire of his classic tunes, along with the New York premiere of his collaborative work, Terra Incognita, performed with his quartet and the Imani Winds Ensemble. The quartet features pianist Danilo Perez, bassist John Patitucci and drummer Brian Blade.
