Playscape Artists to Preview Upcoming Releases

Guitarist Michael Musillami and bassist Mario Pavone will bring their latest ensembles to New York in late June in advance of Playscape releases this summer.

Michael Musillami Trio + 3 will play two sets at the Freestyle Creative music series at Jimmy’s 43 restaurant June 22 with trumpeter Dave Ballou, multi-instrumentalist Marty Ehrlich and vibraphonist George Schuller. The Mario Pavone Double Tenor Quintet will play June 29 at the restaurant.

Both bands will appear June 28 at Brooklyn’s Jalopy Theater.

Pavone’s latest CD, Trio Arc will be released June 3. The group will feature Musillami and Ballou on June 28. The June 29 show will feature tenor saxophonists Michael Blake and Jimmy Greene, and drummer Michael Sarin.
