The Princeton University Concert Jazz Ensemble opens its 2007–2008 concert season with the program, “Three Or Four Shades of Blues,” on its campus’ Alexander Hall on Oct. 13. Anthony Branker will direct the orchestra through a series of compositions by Thad Jones, Benny Carter, Billie Holiday, Charles Mingus and others.

Peplowski first came to prominence in legacy swing bands, including the final iteration of the Benny Goodman Orchestra, before beginning a solo career in the late 1980s.
