Bay-area vocalist Ledisi has signed to Verve Records. The singer has been applauded for her mix of jazz, soul, funk and gospel. Her debut on the label is slated for an early 2007 release.

“Ledisi has one of the most soulful and pure voices that I have ever heard,” said Verve Music Group president Ron Goldstein. “She is a true talent and she has the energy on stage to keep an audience on its feet throughout her incredible shows.”
