The ninth annual Chandler Jazz festival will take place April 4–6 in downtown Chandler, Ariz. The fest will feature more than 20 of the state’s straightahead jazz bands, as well as a number of international headliners. New this year is a Battle of the Bands, where local youth bands will go head-to-head Sunday afternoon.

The Dirty Dozen Brass Band will play on April 4, and all performances are free, except Saturday night’s concert featuring Kenny Garrett and Dr. John.
