The first Uptown Row Django Jazz Fest will be held in Minneapolis on Sept. 9 at Uptown Row, 1221 W. Lake St. This free outdoor event will feature The Hot Club of Sweden, Clearwater Hot Club, Parisota Hot Club and the Twin Cities Hot Club. All of these groups perform in the “hot club” style the guitarist Django Reinhardt developed in 1930s French cabarets.
