‘Stax Records Story’ DVD Set For October Release

Respect Yourself: The Stax Records Story will be released on DVD Oct. 2, the label has announced.

The documentary, which chronicles the soul imprint’s history and first aired on PBS this summer, features interviews and performances from many of the label’s biggest stars. It was directed by Robert Gordon and Morgan Neville, and narrated by Samuel L. Jackson.
