Tortoise will perform an original score to accompany the silent film Nosferatu as part of the Macy’s Day of Music at Chicago’s Symphony Center on Oct. 13 at 8:00.
The day-long free event also includes performances from Branford Marsalis, the Jazz Incredibles and a tribute to the late Johnny Frigo.

Hammond came to the blues through the folk boom of the late 1950s and early 1960s, which he experienced firsthand in New York’s Greenwich Village.
