Trumpeter Corey Wilkes Plans Live Recordings

Chicago trumpeter Corey Wilkes, named in the June issue of DownBeat as on the “25 Trumpeters for the Future,” will be recording a live CD/DVD in Chicago on Wednesday, Oct. 10. The recording will take place at 7 p.m. at the club Close Up 2, 416 S. Clark. Admission is free, and fans should get to the club by 6:30 p.m. for seating.

The CD/DVD will be released by Delmark Records.
