Umbrella Music, a Chicago-based coalition of creative musicians and promoters, has announced the lineup for its second annual Umbrella Music Festival.

The event will take place at a range of venues across Chicago from Nov. 1-5. The lineup features area veterans such as flutist Nicole Mitchell and trombonist Jeb Bishop, as well as “European Jazz Meets Chicago,” a Nov. 5 concert of six ensembles from different European countries. The latter will take place at the Chicago Cultural Center.

All events are free and open to the public. For a full performance schedule, visit umbrellamusic.org.
