The Kaufman Center has announced the 2006–07 Season at New York’s Merkin Concert Hall. Guest curators Brice Rosenbloom and Simon Rentner are bringing a mix of jazz, classical, Brazilian, and other sounds to the venue on 129 W. 67th St.
Performances will include Cecil Taylor on Oct. 12, Gunther Schuller conducting the Mingus Orchestra on Nov. 30 and Vijay Iyer on March 19, 2007.

Foster was truly a drummer to the stars, including Miles Davis, Sonny Rollins and Joe Henderson.
