Tickets for four shows at this summer’s 17th Annual Vancouver Jazz Festival, June 21-July 1, have gone on sale. The shows that have gone on sale are large-scale concerts at the Orpheum Theater. Each starts at 8 p.m., and ticket prices vary.
Overall, this year’s festival will feature more than 1,600 musicians performing in more than 40 venues throughout the city. Venues range from huge outdoor stages to bistros, and the music ranges from straightahead and Latin to avant-garde and electronica.

June 27: Buena Vista Social Club Presents Omara Portuondo
June 29: Dave Brubeck
June 30: The Music of Gavin Bryars featuring Holly Cole, CBC Radio Orchestra and Gavin Bryars.
