Virginia Mayhew, John Ellis To Perform For New School

Saxophonist Viginia Mayhew and reedist John Ellis will appear in New York’s New School Jazz Presenters series in October. The series’ concerts are held at the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music’s Performance Space on 55 W. 13th St. in New York. Both musicians are alumni of the school.

Mayhew’s septet will perform on Oct. 12 and Ellis’ quartet will perform on Oct. 26.
