Kurt Elling has never been shy about putting together ambitious musical projects. From his Millennium Global Gala to his Traffic concerts at Chicago’s Steppenwolf Theater, he thinks and performs with grand strokes.
So it comes as no surprise that the singer is at it again, this time pairing his quartet with three of the other top male jazz singers in the world—Mark Murphy, John Hendricks and Kevin Mahogany. Billed as the “Four Brothers,” the show will feature unique vocal arrangements.
