Philadelphia To Honor McCoy Tyner

From Aug. 26-Sept. 1, the city of Philadelphia will honor its own local legend, McCoy Tyner, with a series of concerts, parties and other events throughout the city

Jazz stars scheduled to appear at “Celebrate Tyner Time In Philly” include:

Oscar Peterson, Horace Silver, James Moody, Hank Jones, Barry Harris, Yusef Lateef, Pharoah Sanders, Ray Brown, Cedar Walton, Keter Betts, Gary Bartz, Marcus Belgrave, Louis Hayes, Bennie Maupin, Pat Martino, Celia Cruz, Terence Blanchard, Steve Turre, Joey DeFrancesco, Robin Eubanks, Kenny Barron, Richie Cole, Trudy Pitts, Ron Mathews, Roy Ayers, Dick Griffin, Wendell Harrison, Doug Carn, Paquito D’Rivera, Carmen Lundy, Rene Marie, Jean Carne, Papo Vasquez, Bernard Linnette Sextet and more.
