The Rath R300 from Rath Trombones is the latest model in the company’s Rath 00 series, which includes the R100, R400 and R900. It has a medium size bore (.525-inch) and is designed to bridge the gap between student-level instruments and Rath’s modular, hand-drafted custom trombones. Like the rest of the Rath 00 series, the R300 has an interchangeable leadpipe. Supplied with a standard leadpipe for small-shank mouthpieces, it can also accommodate a large-shank leadpipe, ensuring considerable versatility and flexibility for the player. The Rath R300 trombone features an 8-inch yellow brass bell and a yellow brass tuning slide.
