    A-T Kick-Drum Classic Returns

Audio-Technica has brought back its ATM25 Hypercardioid Dynamic Instrument Microphone, a classic kick-drum mic first introduced in 1983. Designed for focused capture of high SPLs at close range, the hypercardioid dynamic micr is ideal for kick drums, but it also excels at capturing toms, brass and other highly dynamic instruments. The ATM25 is also well suited for miking electric guitar and bass cabinets. Its ability to handle high sound pressure levels, combined with a warm, full-bodied low-frequency response and tightly focused hypercardioid polar pattern, allows the microphone to capture high-output sources with clarity, definition and impact while providing effective rejection of unwanted off-axis sound. Its rugged, all-metal body incorporates a stand clamp and multilevel grille, ensuring easy setup and reliable performance in the studio or on the stage.
