The Real Intros and Endings Book (Sher Music) by Tony Corman is a collection of must-know lead- ins and codas for classic jazz songs and standards. Transcribed from the original recordings of Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Bud Powell, Cannonball Adderley, Wes Montgomery, Dexter Gordon, Mike Stern, Alan Holdsworth, and other iconic artists, this long-overdue publication contains over 100 well-known but seldom-played intros and endings for classic jazz songs and standards. Most of the transcriptions are of the rhythm section on the original recording, but some include horn parts. The 109-page spiral-bound book features a section devoted to Charlie Parker, whose compositions often include essential intros and endings.
