Rick Turner Guitars’ Renaissance Guitar Company has borrowed the profile from its Electroline basses to develop the Electroline guitar variant. The guitar uses a trio of the company’s single-coil pickups (produced in-house) fueled by an active Scott Walker Buffer Booster preamp that adds clarity, depth and power. With the boost disengaged, the Electroline guitar has a distinct voice and buffered fidelity; it grows to a robust roar upon activating the gain-adjustable boost circuit. The pickups help players stay present in a band mix and utilize a slant that makes switching between pickups intuitive.
