Drum Workshop has launched its DWe, a wireless, acoustic-electronic convertible drum set. Mounted within the shells are DWe’s new proprietary electronic drum triggers featuring new wireless technology with no latency. DWe drums are ready to play straight out of the box with no wires or cables required and are available in a choice of finishes. The DWe set uses a wireless trigger solution that enables up to five zones and up to 18 dynamic layers per drum, giving a natural range of dynamics for playing.
Michael Kelly Guitars has expanded its Patriot series with two new slim-body models: the Patriot Instinct SB Mod Shop Duncan and Patriot SB Open Pore. The Patriot Instinct SB Mod Shop Duncan combines ample tonal possibilities in a thin, lightweight body design. The solid mahogany body produces a full, clear tone. It features a pair of Seymour Ducan JB Model humbuckers with dual mini toggle coil-split switches for sonic versatility. These high-output pickups have plenty of low-end punch while maintaining crisp, detailed highs and an upper-mid bump with just the right amount of harmonics and sustain. The Patriot Decree SB Open Pore features a boutique-inspired styling in a thin, lightweight body design. The open pore texture and satin finish enhance resonance without compromising the instrument’s tone. The set-in mahogany neck, with its contoured heel and modern C shape, is comfortable to play and allows for easy access to upper frets.
