Gretsch Drums has introduced three new finishes for its flagship USA Custom and Broadkaster kits made at its South Carolina factory: rosewood twilight gloss lacquer, classic sunburst and purple marine pearl. The nitro-cellulose glass lacquer finish of the rosewood twilight dark fade makes this deep color feel warm. The vibrant crimsons bleed into chocolatey burgundies, giving the kit a glow and radiance. The timeless classic sunburst is a flash of golden sunshine as it fades at dusk through muted oranges into earth browns. The hand-rubbed stain shows off wood grain to generate a vintage impression. The purple marine pearl (pictured) was developed following a specific request from drummer Nic Collins. Collins asked Gretsch to build a kit for a tour with Mike & The Mechanics with the exact look of black marine pearl, only in purple. The shell interiors of all the new finishes are completed with the Gretsch Silver Sealer.
The MXR Joshua Ambient Echo from Dunlop delivers rhythmic ethereal delay, recreating the atmospheric vibes of vintage rack-style processing. Through its array of controls, the Joshua pedal can create everything from trippy psychedelic classics to shoe-gazer tunes and spirit-lifting swells. The MXR Joshua Ambient Echo offers control over not only the tempo and number of echoes — delay and regen controls — but also its rhythm. It lets users adjust lush, chewy modulation and elevate soundscapes with angelic, organ-like effects.
