    Locked-in Straps

D’Addario has incorporated the “rubber washer” trick with its new Pad Lock Straps, which offer guitarists hassle-free security. Inserting a rubber washer over a guitar strap and onto the end pin of a guitar is an old trick to bolster strap security. The Pad Lock Strap improves this technique by making the rubber washer part of the strap end itself. No need to find rubber washers, replace end pins or add any extra parts — it’s as easy as putting on the strap and pulling the rubber tab over the end pin. D’Addario has added four new Pad Lock prints: Phoenix Dream, Parallel Flowers, Monterey Black and Lightning Black.

    Optimum Sonics

Sonor Kompressor series snare drums feature the brand’s optimum shell measurement construction. The eight models are offered in three shell types and present sounds designed to transform air into sonic energy. The standard sizes — 14 inches by 5.75 inches and 14 inches by 6.5 inches — are the core of the series, while two specialized deeper models —13 inches by 7 inches brass and 14 inches by 8 inches aluminum — extend the palette of sounds. All Kompressor series snare drums are equipped with the patented TuneSafe System. Additional features include 2.3mm steel power hoops, double or single lugs (depending on the model) and Remo USA drumheads.
