Zoom has introduced the A1 FOUR and A1X FOUR multi-effects processors for acoustic string and wind instruments. Both pedals feature more than 80 effects—many of them engineered to perform optimally with instruments like acoustic guitar and bass, saxophone, trumpet, harmonica and violin. With a built-in looper, a variety of time signatures and 68 rhythm styles and patterns to choose from, the A1 FOUR and A1X FOUR are designed to enhance live performances. An onboard Anti-Feedback Filter detects and cuts problematic frequencies before they become a problem.

Hal Leonard has announced the Clarinet Omnibook for B-flat instruments. Similar to the Trumpet Omnibook Hal Leonard released in 2018, the Clarinet Omnibook compiles 43 of the most famous jazz clarinet solos transcribed directly from the artist recordings, so that anyone who plays a B-flat instrument—trumpet/flugelhorn, tenor/soprano saxophone, clarinet/bass clarinet—can benefit. The comb-bound book includes solos from Sidney Bechet (“Okey-Doke”), Eddie Daniels (“I’m Beginning To See The Light”), Buddy DeFranco (“Fascinating Rhythm”), Pete Fountain (“Ja-Da”), Benny Goodman (“Runnin’ Wild”), Ken Peplowski (“All The Things You Are”), Artie Shaw (“My Blue Heaven”), Phil Woods (“Azure”) and more.
Boss brings its latest guitar synth technology to the compact pedal format with its new SY-1. Equipped with a polyphonic engine, the SY-1 delivers 121 ready-to-play synth sounds. Leads, pads, organs, basses and more are included, plus a variety of sound effects and rhythmic synth patterns. The pedal lets any guitarist or bassist incorporate a Boss synth into their music.
Korg has launched the B2 series, a line of three new digital pianos designed to sound and feel as authentic as the real thing. The B2, B2N (pictured) and B2SP are embedded with expressive new piano samples in mono and stereo, plus electric pianos, organ, strings and more. The instruments feature Natural Hammer weighted piano action; the B2N’s key bed is lighter in action, suitable for players who prefer a lighter touch. All models include a complementary pedal: The B2 and B2N have a single piano-type sustain pedal, and the B2SP comes with a three-pedal system.
