JodyJazz has completed its HR* Custom Dark series of saxophone mouthpieces with the addition of a baritone model. The HR* Custom Dark Baritone offers the same tonal qualities that characterize the other mouthpieces in the line. “With the HR* Custom Dark Baritone, we retained the clarity of the mid register while taking off annoying highs be designing a rollover baffle that gives nice feedback to the player,” said JodyJazz founder Jody Espina. The mouthpieces are made using the company’s proprietary CHR Chedeville Hard Rubber, which imparts more warmth due to its purity and density.
