D’Addario has introduced its first XT Acoustic Bass Set with co-branded partner Taylor Guitars. This set originally debuted in the EXP line, specifically designed for Taylor’s 23.5-inch acoustic bass category. XT Acoustic Bass is designed with multifilament nylon cores with XT-treated phosphor bronze wrap wire. This set features the original Custom Light Gauge exclusively designed for Taylor’s series of condensed-scale acoustic basses. The XT Acoustic Bass Set is compatible with brands and models including Taylor’s Original GS Mini-e Bass, GS Mini-eKoa and GS Mini-e Maple; Ibanez’s PNB14E; Cordoba’s Mini II Bass MH-E; Guild’s Jumbo Junior Bass; Traveler’s RCB ME and RMD MH; and Mitchell’s EZB Super Short Scale series.
In honor of its 50th anniversary, Hoshino U.S.A. is creating an expansive collection of handcrafted custom Ibanez guitars and basses. Each is totally unique. The instruments are instilled with their own unique style and feature set, principally inspired by the master luthiers who built them. The project was shared between the Ibanez L.A. Custom Shop and the Ibanez Japan Custom Shop in Aichi Prefecture, Japan.
