Vater has added the Zero Pad to its Chop Builder Pad product range. The Zero Pad is a simplified, one-size version of a pad concept that has been around for many years in slight variations. The Zero Pad’s plush surface material and thickness give drummers another pad offering that has minimal rebound as compared to a traditional gum rubber pad — making the player focus, fine-tune and strengthen their sticking mechanics and technique. The Vater version is single-sided, measures 11 inches in diameter and is quiet in volume due to the nature of the pad material. Covering the back side of the wood base is a thin layer of soft rubber to prevent slipping when placed on a surface; it can also be used in a snare stand.
Line 6’s DL4 MkII includes all the sounds of the company’s original DL4 Delay Modeler, plus additional new features. The 15 new MkII delays were drawn from Line 6’s HX family of amps and effects processors, and the 4-Switch and 1-Switch looper types offer up to 240 seconds of record time. Also included is an XLR microphone input, MIDI in and out/thru connectors, heavy-duty footswitches, three bypass options and a jack for connecting an optional expression pedal or two footswitches. The DL4 MkII is also smaller and lighter than the original.
